My approach to engineering is exploratory; aiming to facilitate artists in their development of new ideas, freedom of inhibition and engagement with “play” as a creative discipline, I strive to bridge the gap between originality and technical mechanics.

For the past three years, I have managed Octave, Jamie XX’s private studio as a commercial space, with responsibilities spanning scheduling, artist and label relations, equipment servicing, and collaboration with a wide range of artists as both audio engineer and music producer.

Notable experiences include writing and project development sessions with Saya Gray, Two Shell, Caroline Polachek, Poolside, Avalon Emerson, Sorry, Oliver Sim, Jamie XX, Robyn and Skrillex.

In addition to hosting sessions, my experience extends to live environments. Beginning as the Front-of-House engineer and artist liaison at “Mu” in Dalston, responsibilities included overseeing the installation of a new Danley PA system, maintaining Klipschorn speakers and associated hi-fi equipment at Brilliant Corners, and running the 15-point boutique hi-fi system for Giant Steps as a live technician. This work involved driver replacements, turntable, amplifier, and cable repairs, as well as managing live sound during events.

In 2025, I began a new role as Creative Technical Lead on Concreté Waves, Suzanne Ciani and Actress’ collaborative project, set to headline Barbican, Sonar Festival, De Single, Venice Biennale, Unsound, and Semibreve. The position involved creating and implementing a custom-built system enabling interaction between the two artists, alongside coding software for wireless transmission of AbletonLink, MIDI and CV/gate clocking.

Further Creative Technical Lead roles include live shows at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA), London, and Abrupt Festival, Brussels, for dBridge and Madison Willing’s This Life. Duties covered live mixing and technical production of playback across contrasting elements balancing string arrangements, live spoken word, piano, and Drum-n-Bass live beat programming. In a similar capacity, I provided technical management and live engineering for LUXE at the ICA, delivering a hybrid electronic–classical performance with string quartet, harp, live electronic percussion, and multiple vocalists.

Most recently, work as a backline engineer with the band Everything Is Recorded included touring across Europe during their festival run, supporting an ensemble featuring Richard Russell, Sampha, Roses Gabor, Berwyn, and GEORGIA.

Alongside live engineering, I deliver industry-standard mixes for clients including Red Bull, HBO Max, and Free People as well as score mixes for film and theatre productions at BFI, Sadler’s Wells, and Kunsthaus Hamburg. Please get in touch for a bespoke mix portfolio.

This breadth of experience spans both studio and stage, covering on-stage tech, playback systems, rehearsals, technical riders, and communication with venues and promoters, all underpinned by a focus on efficiency and precision in live and studio contexts.
